The Chamber’s 54th Term Board Inaugural Ceremony was staged at the Grand Hall of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. John Lee, Chief Executive of Hong Kong, sent congratulations through a video message. Invited to be officiating guests were: Zheng Yanxiong, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; Eric Chan, Chief Secretary for Administration of the HKSAR; Liu Cigui, Standing Committee Member and Chairman of Committee on Liaison with Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese of the CPPCC National Committee and Li Yongsheng, Deputy Commissioner of Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC in the HKSAR. The Chamber’s Office-bearers and Committee Members were inaugurated in the presence of over 1,000 guests.

Specially invited guests attending the celebration included HKSAR government officials, representatives from central government offices in Hong Kong, NPC deputies and CPPCC National Committee members, Executive Council members and Legislative Council members of the HKSAR, leaders of business associations, consuls of foreign countries and delegations from mainland China and Macao.
