With this year marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of its Young Executives’ Committee (“YEC”), the Chamber specially held the World Young Chinese Entrepreneurs Summit (“Summit”) to bring together government officials, legislators, entrepreneurs, experts and scholars to discuss how to leverage Hong Kong’s functional advantages to connect young Chinese entrepreneurs around the world to jointly explore opportunities.
The Chamber’s members actively participated in voting on the polling day of the new District Council (DC) elections successfully held recently. The Chamber would like to congratulate the 264 newly elected DC members and trusts that they will be able to shoulder the heavy responsibilities of district governance, live up to the support of all sectors of society and the expectations of voters, and function well as a bridge between the government and the public, thus writing a new chapter of good governance in Hong Kong
The State Council recently released the Development Plan for Shenzhen Park of the Hetao Shenzhen‑Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Co‑operation Zone (“Hetao Plan”). Under the plan, a pattern of collaborative innovation between the Shenzhen and Hong Kong parks will be fully established by 2035.
