Event: LEAP East 2026

LEAP (nicknamed “Digital Davos”) is a global technology event held annually in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Launched in 2022, it brings together technology companies, founders, investors, policymakers and industry leaders to explore emerging technologies, support investment and enable cross-sector collaboration. When visiting Saudi Arabia, the Chief Executive attended the LEAP as a keynote speaker in 2023. Then, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry inaugurated the Hong Kong Pavilion there and spoke in 2024.

This year, LEAP will start its new chapter by moving beyond Saudi Arabia the LEAP East, its first Asian edition, to Hong Kong (i.e. Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wanchai) on 8-10 July. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Saudi Arabia and Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will co-lead the event as government partners. Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Dubai acts as one of the supporting partners, together with Belt and Road Office, Invest Hong Kong, Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks, Cyberport and Hong Kong Tourism Board, etc. The event will expect 25,000+ visitors, 200+ speakers and 400+ exhibitors covering various themes and topics, including fintech and finclusion, biotech & healthtech, smart cities & urban tech, robotics & automation, policy & govtech, blockchain & web3, AI implementation & case studies, startups & ecosystem, and venture capital & investments, etc.
