The Hong Kong Exporters’ Association has presented the Hong Kong Smart Design Awards for 14 editions, championing local design excellence and bridging creativity with commerce. This year, they are thrilled to announce its evolution into Smart Design Global (SDG) — elevating innovation and global collaboration in the design sector. Registration is now open.
Here are some application guidelines of the Smart Design Global 2026:
Entry Qualifications:
• Companies with Hong Kong Business Registration (BR).
• Finalists must have at least one representative attend the adjudication session on 27 April 2026, during the Hong Kong Gift & Premium Fair 2026, and participate in the full exhibition period from 27 to 30 April 2026.
• Shortlisted companies can display their products during the exhibition period.
Product Categories:
• Live (Home products, furniture, lifestyle design product)
• Dine (Tableware, kitchen innovations, culinary aesthetics, serving utensils)
• Gift (Self-indulgence and shared joy items, luxury goods, collectibles, personal treasures, corporate gifts)
• Play (Toys, games, kidult collectibles, nostalgic designs)
Fees:
• Application Fee: HKD$600 per Category (Max. 3 submissions per category). (Please indicate your CGCC membership status upon registration to have the Application Fee waived. Only five spots are available for the above-mentioned benefits.)
• Exhibition Fee: HKD$3,500 per Category. (The application fee will be waived for entries advancing to the finals, resulting in a final exhibition fee of $2,900) (Please indicate your CGCC membership status upon registration to get a 50% Discount which will become $1750 per Category. Only five spots are available for the above-mentioned benefits.)

• 28 Jan 2026 (Wed) to 10 Mar 2026 (Tue).
