Caring Moon Cakes from Caring Business Sectors

Yesterday (2nd October), Chairman Choi was present in the “We Care, We Share Campaign – Caring Moon cakes Distribution” program held at Nam Cheong District Community Centre in Nam Cheong Estate, Sham Shui Po.  Together with two Vice-Chairmen Cheung Sing-hung and Lam Ming-sum, as well as representatives from the “Caring Enterprises” and the Social Welfare Department (SWD), Chairman Choi distributed the moon cakes to nearly 70 elderly people from Ho Kin District Community Centre for Senior Citizens.  They also sang along with the elderly, filling the centre with festive joy.

In his speech, Chairman Choi noted that business sectors in Hong Kong always strive to serve the community. Aiming to build a harmonious community, the “We Care, We Share Campaign” was established to spread the business community’s message of care and love by helping out the needy.  Chairman Choi thanked the SWD and the community centre for their coordination in the moon cake distribution. He also expressed his gratitude to the “Caring Enterprises” sponsoring the activity.

In appreciation of the CGCC’s and business sectors’ concern about the elderly and the grassroots, SWD District Social Welfare Officer (Sham Shui Po) Elaine Yue and an elderly representative presented a souvenir to Chairman Choi.

Co-organized by the SWD, the moon cake distribution program gave out 10,000 boxes of moon cakes the families and elderly in need through different community centres across the territory on the eve of Mid-Autumn Festival.
