| Certificate of Origin - Re-export |
| 1.Application must be submitted with copies of following documents: |
| • |
Certificate of Origin from the originating country of the goods in question, or |
|
| • |
Commercial invoice issued by the supplier in the originating country plus transport documents (bills of lading, airway bills, etc.) or export documents (export permit, export customs clearance permit, etc.) issued by the government authorities in the originating country |

| • |
Such other documents as the Chamber may deem appropriate |
|
| 2.Copies of the above documents will be kept by the Chamber for record |
| 3.Applications must be submitted at least two clear working days in advance of the advertised departure date of the vessel concerned |
| 4.Late applications must be accompanies by the following supporting documents |
| • |
A covering letter explaining the reasons for late application |
|
| • |
A copy of the commercial invoice and the bill of lading / airway bill / postal receipt of the consignment covered by the application |
|
| Certificate of Origin - Without Transit / With Transhipment |
| 1.Application must be submitted with copies of the following documents: |
| • |
Bill of lading by the exporter of the country of origin |
|

| • |
Such other documents as the Chamber may deem appropriate |

| Certificate of Origin & Certificate of Origin - Processing |
| 1.Application should be submitted electronically from your office or via the Electronic Trade Services Centre |
| 2.The manufacturer must be currently registered with the Trade and Industry Department, HKSAR Government |
| 3.Application must be submitted at least two clear working days in advance of the advertised departure date of the vessel concerned |
| CEPA Certificate of Origin |
| 1.Application should be submitted electronically from your office or via the Electronic Trade Services Centre |
| 2.The manufacturer must be currently registered with the Trade and Industry Department, HKSAR Government |
| 3.Application must be submitted at least two clear working days in advance of the advertised departure date of the vessel concerned |
| Generalised Preference Certificate (Form A) |
| 1.Applications submitted to the Chamber must be signed by authorised official of the factory and by the exporter concerned |
| 2.The manufacturer must be currently registered with the Trade and Industry Department, HKSAR Government |
| 3.Applications must be submitted at least two clear working days in advance of the advertised departure date of the vessel concerned |
| 4.Certificates submitted to the Chamber must be signed by an authorised official of the exporter concerned |
| Endorsement of Documents |
| 1.Endorsement of invoices must be applied together with CO applications |
| 2.Endorsement of other commercial documents must be accompanied by an authorised letter of the company concerned |
| Amendments on Certificates of Origin |
| Issued Certificate of Origin can only be amended once and such amendment must be made within 30 days from the issue date. Under normal circumstances, amendment on the following items is not permitted: |

Increase in quantity of goods |

Material change in the description of goods |
|

| • |
Any other changes involving submission of fresh applications |

| Consignment Inspection |
| The Chamber shall have the right to inspect the goods under application and to check the books and records of the manufacturer |

| The Chamber has co-operated with the Global e-Trading Services Limited (Ge-Ts) to promote electronic commerce service in Hong Kong. Traders can submit their Import & Export Trade Declaration documents through the Electronic Trade Services Centre at this Chamber. Our staff will convert information on paper into electronic messages and submit them to the relevant government departments of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. |
| Application Procedure |
| Traders should complete the Import & Export Trade Declaration (TDEC) Application Forms provided by this Chamber for free and return during service hour. |
| Operation |
| Staff of the Electronic Trade Services Centre will input the information in the form submitted by traders into computer and convert it into electronic format. The message will then be transmitted to the organisation or government department concerned for further processing. |
